Tile is one of the best-performing floors for our climate: it stays cool underfoot on a 110-degree July afternoon and shrugs off the fine dust that blows in during a summer storm.

We start with a full subfloor inspection - any deflection, moisture, or unevenness gets fixed before a single tile is set. We use modified thinset mortars rated for the tile size, back-butter large-format tiles for full coverage, and use leveling clips on planks and large rectangles to eliminate lippage. Showers are built with proper waterproofing, sloped pre-pitch mortar beds, and properly bonded curbs.

Because our tap water here runs hard, we pay extra attention to grout sealing so mineral deposits don't dull it over time - every install ends with sealed grout (or epoxy grout where requested) and a final detail walk before we hand the keys back.
