Modern Concepts Design designs, fabricates, and installs stone countertops and custom slab-style cabinetry from our showroom at 5240 S Decatur Blvd, Suite 1 & 2 - right alongside the flooring that has to match them. That matters in a kitchen remodel, where the slab, the cabinet finish, and the floor are three decisions that either read as one room or argue with each other for the next fifteen years.
Most Las Vegas kitchens are slab-on-grade builds from the 1990s and 2000s still running builder-grade laminate counters and hollow-core cabinet boxes. Replacing those - and pairing them with luxury vinyl plank or porcelain tile that shrugs off desert dust and hard tap water - is the single most-remodeled project we run in the valley.
Countertop slabs we stock, fabricate, and install
We buy slabs directly and cut them in our own shop, so edge profile, seam placement, and sink cutouts get decided before the stone ever reaches your home - not by whoever shows up with a tape measure on install day.

Our cabinetry is slab-style first - flat-panel doors in matte, gloss, wood-grain laminate, and real-wood veneers - because that clean line is what most Las Vegas homes were designed around. Doors, boxes, soft-close hardware, and roll-out organizers are specified together, so the inside of the cabinet works as hard as the front of it looks.
We design around the awkward corners most kitchens ship with: blind-corner drawers, tall pantry walls, spice and oil pull-outs under the range, and a dedicated charging drawer. Keeping your appliances? We measure them first. Replacing them? We spec the rough-in before the boxes arrive.

How a countertop or cabinet project runs
Every project starts with a site visit and a template of your existing counters, then a slab viewing at the showroom where you pick the actual slab - not a sample photo. Fabrication takes one to two weeks, and installation is usually a single day: old counters come out, new stone gets set and seamed, plumbing and the sink are reconnected, and the debris leaves with us.
Cabinetry runs longer - two to six weeks from order to install depending on the finish, and we can install in phases so your kitchen is never out of service for a month. Because the same team handles flooring installation, wall tile backsplashes, and the stone, one schedule and one warranty covers the whole room instead of three contractors pointing at each other.

Cabinets & Countertops - frequently asked questions
Yes - it's one of the most common jobs we run. We template your existing counters, fabricate the new slab to fit, and set it over the current boxes. If the cabinets are structurally sound but dated, refacing is the middle path: new doors and drawer fronts in your existing layout, typically around half the cost of a full cabinet replacement.
Template on day one, slab selection at the showroom the same week, fabrication one to two weeks, then a one-day install. Most kitchens are back in service within a fortnight of our first visit.
We install customer-supplied stone and flat-pack cabinets, but warranty coverage is labor-only in that case. When we supply the material, one warranty covers product and workmanship and we handle any manufacturer claim directly.
Yes - stone has far more natural variation than any flooring product, so it's easier to match a floor to a slab than the other way around. Our design team fixes the undertone of your counter and cabinet finish first, then narrows hardwood, laminate, or tile to that same temperature. Quartz wins on maintenance - it's non-porous, never needs sealing, and shrugs off the hard tap water and citrus spills that etch natural stone. Granite wins on heat tolerance and upfront price. Many valley homeowners run quartz along the sink run and a heat-tolerant slab behind the range.
